Certified Mindfulness Instructor, DBH, CMT-P, MFA Dr. Cynthia Garner

Dr. Cynthia Garner is a nationally recognized expert in mindfulness-based leadership and systemic wellbeing. With a background in education, counseling, and somatic psychology, she brings over fifteen years of experience supporting leaders in trauma-impacted systems. A former classroom teacher and school consultant, Dr. Garner holds a Doctorate in Body-Mind Healing from the Parkmore Institute and professional certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Mindful Schools programs. She has completed advanced training in somatic psychotherapy and mindfulness facilitation through Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme). Dr. Garner designs and facilitates professional development programs that integrate mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and trauma-sensitive leadership. Her work emphasizes the principle that a regulated leader’s nervous system is the foundation of collective healing and sustainable organizational change.
